About

Blake Schneider – Founder

Just a guy in his mid-twenties, trying to figure out how to make it as a man in the world we live in. From college athletics to a working career, I am right in the middle of navigating my young adult years. With a passion for people, connection is huge to me. Building relationships and getting to know people, excites me and inspires me. This was put on my heart because I believe there is power in connection and inspiration in navigating life with like minded people.

Growing up, family, sports, and faith was the focal point of my upbringing. From kickball games in the backyard, to high school sports and becoming a collegiate athlete. There was always a game going on. So you could say sports in my DNA. Post competitive sports, I have found myself drawn to the gym and working out as a release and as a connection to the sports world. My faith has driven me to grow and develop who I am at my core. I’m not going to sit here and tell you I have all the answers or preach the gospel to you. But my faith plays the largest role in my life and has helped me in countless ways. I hope you see the good in that too.

So to wrap this ‘about me’ up before I type too much… I hope you find some inspiration, resources and connections that as a young adult we don’t have to do this alone. There is hope in the change that happens during this time; and reward of the growth that we can experience. The mantra of Hammer and Anvil is more than just a title of a blog.  It’s a community of like-minded young adults navigating this world together. Finding and exploring the tools that help shape us to be the best versions of ourselves, one day at a time. I hope to see you on the journey!
